Vietnam War draft resistance doc The Boys Who Said No. produced by Insight Films

Catalan pubcaster 3Cat is among a raft of global buyers which have acquired Vietnam War draft resistance documentary, The Boys Who Said No.

The 1×95’/1×52′ title, produced by Insight Films, follows key anti-war figures such as Muhammad Ali and Martin Luther King and the anti-conscription campaigns of the 1960s.

It has also been snapped up by Hearst Networks in Germany for the History channel, Canal+ Group for Planète in France, American Public Television and Asharq News for MENA.

The sales were announced by UK indie factual distributor Espresso Media, which also revealed further acquisitions.

Canal+ Group has taken historical doc Resistance: They Fought Back (1×96′) for its channel Planète; as well as History’s Greatest Aircrafts (6×45′) and true crime title Where is Baby Gabriel (3×45′).

David Hopper, MD, Espresso, said: “We are proud to see that some very important platforms, both in Europe and the US, have picked up Insight’s unique anti-war doc marking the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, especially given we are in such troublesome times now.
