Vice ups two as UK studio launches

Vice has launched a UK Studios production division and promoted two execs in its London office as it sharpens its focus on creating original programming.

Bree Horn

Bree Horn has been promoted to senior VP of production in the UK while Yonni Usiskin has been upped to head of programming for the company’s Viceland channel in the country.

Horn, previously VP of production, commercial and digital, will now work across the Vice Studios, Vice Digital, i-D and commercial teams to produce shortform, longform and feature-length content in-house for third-party output.

Horn has been involved in programmes such as Munchies and Vice News and has produced multinational campaigns for brands including Chanel, Adidas and Youtube. She also led the UK-based production of the company’s Emmy-winning series, Vice, on HBO.

Usiskin, meanwhile, will now be responsible for the Viceland’s growing portfolio of youth-focused content.

He has executive produced a number of the channel’s flagship shows, including Hate Thy Neighbour, Needles & Pins and Big Night Out.

Yonni Usiskin

Prior to joining Viceland, Usiskin oversaw Vice News video content as an executive producer on documentaries including Libya’s Migrant Trade, Russian Roulette and The Islamic State.

Horn will report to Matt O’Mara, CEO of Vice UK, working alongside both Alex Miller, executive creative director of Vice UK and MD of Vice Studios, and Kevin Sutcliffe, who heads up the UK Studio.

She will also work with Al Brown, VP of programming and film, to develop factual and scripted projects at Vice Studios.

Usiskin will report to CJ Fahey, general manager of Viceland EMEA and APAC. Fahey joined Viceland UK at the start of the year, having been integral to the network’s US and Canada roll-out in 2016.
