Viasat World shops at ITVS for Epic Drama

Singapore Grip centres on the months before the city’s fall to the Japanese in 1942

International broadcaster Viasat World has secured the rights to more than 150 hours of drama content from ITV Studios for its Epic Drama channel in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

The deal includes Mammoth Screen’s Second World War drama Singapore Grip, which ended recently on ITV in the UK; seasons 10 to 13 of Shaftesbury’s crime series Murdoch Mysteries; and seasons one to three of ITV Studios’ Miss Marple.

Viasat World has acquired the pay TV, catch-up and SVoD rights to each of the series in all Epic Drama territories in CEE, where they are planned to launch from the first quarter of 2021.

Viasat World has also re-licensed Mammoth Screen’s detective series Endeavour and Monumental Pictures’ period drama Harlots, providing the full box sets of both series to its viewers.
