Viasat Norway finds new chief

European broadcast group Viasat has appointed a new programme director to take control of its Norwegian channel TV3 and Viasat4.

Åse Marie Bendiksen began work at the beginning of March after leaving her previous role as head of development and sales at prodco Mastiff.

She replaces Trygve Rønningen, who resigned last year, and in her new role she will oversee development and production of new and existing formats.

Her credits as an executive producer include NRK1’s Beyond Boundaries (aka Ingen grenser), Best Singer (Hver gang vi motes) for TV2, and 71 Degrees North (71 grader Nord) and Benidorm Bandits for TV Norge. She has also worked on Nation’s Ugliest Room (Norges styggeste rom) for TV3.

Bendiksen also previously worked for Norwegian prodco Rubicon, and Nordisk Film and TV.
