Crisis in Cocaine Valley comes from Maximus Film

NEWS BRIEF: Viaplay has acquired a documentary film from German distributor and channel operator Quintus Studios that explores the effect Covid has had on a region in the Peruvian Andes dubbed Cocaine Valley.

Crisis in Cocaine Valley (1×60’), produced by Germany’s Maximus Film, tracks down abandoned and active cocaine pools and drug labs to uncover the pandemic’s impact on the drug trade. Viaplay Group has acquired the film for its Viaplay streaming service in the Nordic and Baltic countries, the Netherlands and Poland.
