Viaplay Select launches on Bell Media streamer Crave in Canada

Viaplay Group has agreed a partnership with Bell Media’s Crave streaming service to bring Nordic content to audiences across Canada through Viaplay Select.

The agreement makes Canada the 19th market for Viaplay Select, described by the Nordic content giant as a branded and curated content concept that started with a launch in Japan in April 2022.

From today, Crave subscribers will be able to access a selection of Viaplay films and series, including Nordic noir titles such as Face to Face, Furia and The Machinery, along with curated third-party productions from the region.

Alongside Crave in Canada, Viaplay Select has launched on Wowow in Japan, CINDIE in nine Latin American countries, SBS in Australia and Pickbox Now in seven markets in Eastern Europe.

Meanwhile, Viaplay’s standalone direct-to-consumer service is available in the Nordic and Baltic countries, Poland, the Netherlands and the UK, and will launch in the US and Canada in the first quarter of 2023.
