Produced by Mastiff in partnership with Creative Society Productions, seasons three and four will explore the explosive secrets and desires of the inhabitants of the small Swedish town of Hammarvik.

Disa Östrand (Love & Anarchy), Martin Stenmarck and Linda Santiago (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald) will reprise their roles, with filming due to start this summer in Vänersborg in western Sweden.

Filippa Wallestam, NENT Group’s chief content officer, said: “Reviving the Nordic soap opera with a noir twist came at just the right moment for Viaplay viewers. With its multiple engrossing plotlines, familiar characters and a devious mystery to unravel, Hammarvik has been hugely successful during these challenging times and has also brought new audiences to streaming for the first time. Together with Camilla, we will make the coming two seasons even more unmissable.”
