ViacomCBS International Studios gets first look at Manolo Cardona’s 11:11

ViacomCBS’s global content division ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) has inked a first-look deal with 11:11 Films and TV, the production company led by Manolo and Juancho Cardona.

Under the deal, the brothers, who founded 11:11 in 2005, will create and develop content including series, films and special-format programmes.

Manolo Cardona is a well-known film and TV actor in Latin America and has starred in series including Who Killed Sara?, Narcos, Rubirosa, La Hermandad and El Cartel de los Sapos. His film credits include Fort Bliss, A Chihuahua from Beverly Hills and Contracorriente.

Meanwhile, Juancho Cardona, who serves as the general director of 11:11, is a film and TV director with credits on shows such as La Negociadora and La Fiscal de Hierro. The company has a presence in Colombia, Mexico, Dominican Republic and the US.

Federico Cuervo, senior VP of VIS Americas, said: “Manolo Cardona brings unique insights with his experience both in front of and behind the camera as a successful actor and talented producer.”

Manolo Cardona added: “Our vision is to develop compelling content to entertain audiences around the world and we feel this will be the perfect partnership.”

VIS’s current production and development slate includes La Gran Ola, At Midnight, Medusa, Dr. Ballí, Adriano Emperador, Rio Shore, Las Seguidoras, El Primero de Nosotros, Los Fuera de Ley, Parot, Nieva en Benidorm, Cecilia and Los Enviados.

Over the past six months, VIS has inked first-look deals with Chilean writer and filmmaker Pablo Illanes, AGC Television and Mexican actor Luis Gerardo Méndez’s production company Cine Vaquero.
