ViacomCBS alum Bartosz Witak named BBC Studios’ new general manager of CEE

Former ViacomCBS executive Bartosz Witak has been appointed general manager of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) at BBC Studios.

Charged with driving business expansion in the region, he will be based in Warsaw and reports to Arran Tindall, chief commercial officer, exec VP of EMEA key markets.

Witak’s remit includes leveraging his experience to explore new opportunities across branded services, content sales and digital.

His responsibilities do not include format sales which continue to be the responsibility of André Renaud, senior VP of global format sales.

He will also focus on developing strategic partnerships across CEE which align with BBC Studios’ vision for expansion and diversification.

Most recently, Witak was a senior business advisor for various companies and investors from 2019 to 2024.

Prior to that, he worked at ViacomCBS in the role of senior VP and MD for Central, Eastern and Southern Europe, and Israel, during a 16-year tenure.

Leading teams across multiple offices, including Warsaw, Budapest, Prague, Tel Aviv, and London, he contributed to the company’s consistent year-on-year revenue growth.
