USA Network adds to unscripted and sports line-up for 2022/23

USA Network has further expanded its entertainment and sports programming offer with a forthcoming slate that includes new unscripted series and exclusive live sporting events.

The new unscripted series include celebrity gameshow Barmageddon, in which real-life friends Blake Shelton and Carson Daly invite audiences into Shelton’s Nashville bar for a front-row seat as their celebrity pals compete in classic over-the-top bar games.

The series is hosted by WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella and produced by White Label Productions and JLP Pictures.

Also joining the slate are competition shows The Chain: Alaska, Winter Watchman and Snake in the Grass, plus Double Act-produced Rust Hunters, in which a multigenerational family business flips old vehicles and antiques in the backwoods of New Hampshire.

Produced by Original Productions, The Chain: Alaska is set in the wild and dangerous Aleutian Alaskan islands, where adventure racers and survival experts battle through the elements, and each other, for a life-changing prize.

Produced by Nomadica Films, Winter Watchman finds four pairs of survivalists protecting their respective lodges through the harsh Alaska winter, while Snake in the Grass, produced by eOne-owned Renegade 83, is a social experiment that drops four strangers into the wild with a chance to win big money.

Blending sports and entertainment, the Austin Dillon’s Life in the Fast Lane follows the  lifestyle of Daytona 500 champion Dillon on and off the racetrack. It is produced by Critical Content.

Race for the Championship, meanwhile, takes viewers inside the personal and aspirational lives of Nascar’s top drivers and teams against the backdrop of the 2022 Nascar Cup Series Playoffs and Championship.

Meanwhile, returning originals on the network include Chucky, Chrisley Knows Best and Miz & Mrs.

For the first time, NBCUniversal-owned USA Network will be the exclusive home to international sporting events such as the US Open, The Open Championship and cycling’s Tour de France. USA Network is also the cable home of Premier League football, which kicks off the 2022/23 season in August.
