US Hispanic deal for Carlton toons

New stateside Hispanic network Telefutura has picked up a pair of toons from UK distributor Carlton International, with the shows also seeing another Spanish renewal.

The Univision-owned Telefutura network has taken Mr Bogus (42×26') and Widget (65×26') – both produced by Zodiac Entertainment. This is the first US network deal for the shows, though they saw some commercial syndication in the US in the early 1990s.

Once again, Spain's LUK Entertainment has renewed the two series, which air in that territory on TVE. LUK's vp of international David Henden said the two were {ageless, highly-produced and ahead of their time.{

Mr Bogus follows a mischievous yellow gremlin who lives in the woodwork of a human house, while Widget is a teenage alien from the Horsehead Nebula, from where the events on earth are really governed.
