Universal Music’s Mercury Studios adds execs for unscripted TV

Universal Music Group (UMG)’s audiovisual content outfit Mercury Studios has hired Steve Condie as senior VP of content and former Raw Cut executive Frank MacDonald as head of development.

Based in London, Condie will lead on the entity’s creative vision, while MacDonald will oversee the development of all non-fiction titles.

Previously, Condie was a freelance executive producer and series producer, with credits including online, TV and radio format People’s History of Pop, dance music series Can You Feel It and social history The Story of Skinhead.

Meanwhile, MacDonald headed up development at Raw Cut Television, a role he held since September 2020.

Prior to that, MacDonald worked as development executive at Firecrest Films, senior development producer at The Garden, senior development producer at Pulse Films and development producer at Mentorn Media.
