Unicorn Content rejigs team, makes García Martín GM and brings back Molina Primavera

Madrid-based Unicorn Content has made a string of promotions and hires, with Víctor García Martín named general manager and Sergio Molina Primavera returning to the company.

García Martín has worked at Unicorn as chief creative officer since it was formed in 2018, overseeing strategy, business development and projects.

Prior to joining Unicorn, he was creative and international director at Cuarzo Banijay Group and director of new projects at Mediapro Group-owned Big Bang Media.

As an executive producer, he has been in charge of projects such as Dolores (HBO Max), El Principito es Omar Montes and De la vida al plato (Prime Video), 120 Minutos (Telemadrid), Yo fui un Narco (DMax), España mira a La Meca (Telecinco) and Mujeres sin censura (RTVE).

He has also been responsible for the adaptation of numerous international formats such as Fantastic Duo (La 1), Facing the Classroom (Telemadrid), Married at First Sight (Antena 3) and Lingo (Canal Sur and ETB).

Ana Rosa Quintana remains president of the company, which was founded in January 2018 by Xelo Montesinos, who serves as CEO.

Meanwhile, Molina Primavera has re-joined the company as director of strategy and operations, after spending a year as general manager at Pokeepsie Films.

He returns to Unicorn in a newly created position focused on business management and strategy, having previously served as its chief operating officer. Previously, he held the position of MD at Big Bang Media for more than six years.

Juan Serrano Cabello, meanwhile, has been appointed content director at Unicorn, having previously served as programme director and executive producer of formats such as En El Punto de Mira (Cuatro), Ya es Mediodía (Telecinco), Ya son las Ocho (Telecinco) and Fiesta (Telecinco).

Pilar Cerisuelo Delás has been named executive producer, having previously directed titles such as El Progtama de Ana Rosa (Telecinco), El Programa del Verano (Telecinco), Cuatro al Dia (Cuatro), La Mañana (TVE) and Un Tiempo Nuevo (Cuatro).
