UKTV’s Gold expands Billy Connolly franchise

NEWS BRIEF: BBC Studios-owned multichannel operator UKTV has commissioned two three-part specials in the Billy Connolly Does… series for its Gold channel, following the airing of the first season in March.

Billy Connolly Does… The Decades (6×60’) sees the comedian look back over his stand-up routines to look at how politics, celebrity, sex, TV and football have changed in the last 50 years. Using exclusive access to Billy at his Florida home, the new shows are produced by Moonshine Features, part of The Whisper Group, and will air in early 2023 and 2024.
