UKTV stages more Special Ops

NEWS BRIEF: BBC Studios-backed multichannel broadcaster UKTV has renewed crime obs doc Special Ops: To Catch A Criminal for a further two seasons. The show is produced by Zinc Media-owned popular factual label Red Sauce, with Tom Edwards as creative director.

A fifth and sixth season comprising 4×60’ episodes will air on the U&Dave linear channel and U streaming service. The show follows the investigative work of a variety of specialist units within UK police forces created to crack the cases including cyber heists, romance fraud, people trafficking, drugs rings and murder.
