UKTV adds First Time Medics to W medical line-up

NEWS BRIEF: UKTV has added to the slate of blue-light and medical programming on its factual entertainment channel W by commissioning Emergency Department: First Time Medics from UK indie Brown Bob Productions.

The 10×60’ series follows newly qualified doctors getting their first taste of emergency medicine at The Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. Brown Bob, founded by CEO Jacqueline Hewer, is the production company behind Inside the Ambulance, the longest-running UKTV Original series on W, as well as Secrets of the London Underground, The Architecture the Railways Built, Inside the Operating Theatre and Inside the Vets.
