UK streamer Freely boosts content offering with four new partnership deals

Everyone TV is bringing more channels to streaming platform Freely

Everyone TV, the organisation jointly owned by UK free-to-air broadcasters the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Paramount’s Channel 5, has struck deals with AMC Networks International UK (AMCNI UK), PBS America, GB News and QVC to bring their content to streaming platform, Freely.

The news was announced today by Everyone TV CEO Jonathan Thompson at a launch event in London.

AMCNI UK will bring live streams of its genre-themed free-to-air channels to Freely, including action-themed Legend, investigative brand True Crime and on demand app, Watch Free UK.

US pubcaster PBS will offer factual content, including its award-winning Frontline strand; commerce channel QVC is to make available two shopping channels, on demand player QVC and QVC+, which runs shows dedicated to style, gardening and beauty; and GB News is to provide news and opinion via its live TV channel, over wi-fi.

The new partnerships strengthen Freely’s content offering, bringing the total line-up to over 40 streamed live channels and 74,000 hours of on demand content.

Everyone TV (FKA: Digital UK) launched Freely in April. Built into smart TVs, the service provides live TV over the internet, featuring a line-up of content from the UK’s terrestrial broadcasters.

It enables viewers to stream live TV channels alongside on-demand content for free via their smart TVs, without the need for a dish or aerial.

The newly announced channels from AMCNI UK, PBS America, GB News and QVC will be available in early 2025.

Jonathan Thompson, CEO at Everyone TV, said: “These new collaborations mark a significant milestone as Freely continues to redefine the streaming experience, offering something for everyone, with content across a variety of genres.

“From ground-breaking storytelling to rich historical programming and an engaging shopping experience, we are excited to offer an increasingly competitive free viewing experience with these new channels and on demand players.

“We look forward to continued collaboration across the industry, bringing even more entertaining and engaging content to Freely.”
