Woodcut Media promotes Nick Mavroidakis, Koulla Anastasi to new roles

UK-based indie producer Woodcut Media has promoted series producer Nick Mavroidakis and commercial director Koulla Anastasi to new roles and added a head of finance.

Nick Mavroidakis

As executive producer, Mavroidakis will take the creative lead on a number of Woodcut’s franchises and work with the Woodcut development team.

Mavroidakis joined Woodcut Media in 2016, working as a series producer on various series and specials, including true-crime docuseries Britain’s Most Evil Killers and World’s Most Evil Killers, having been responsible for creating the format.

He also produced history series Britain’s Forgotten Wars with Tony Robinson and World’s Greatest Palaces, and factual entertainment series Animal Antics.

Prior to Woodcut Media his production credits included Rude Tube (Channel 4) for October Films, Big Brother Australia (Channel 10) for Endemol Shine Group and Real Rescues (BBC) for Topical Television. The promotion is effective from January 2023.

Anastasi, meanwhile, has been promoted to managing director of Woodcut’s sales operation Woodcut International, which launched when she joined the company in 2020, alongside her existing role as commercial director for Woodcut Media.

The promotions come after Victoria Baderman recently joined Woodcut Media as head of finance, reporting to Kate Beal, founder and CEO of Woodcut Media. Prior to Woodcut, Baderman held various positions as financial controller for companies such as VG & P, YSC Consulting and What If! Innovation.
