U&Gold celebrates 50 years of The Good Life

NEWS BRIEF: Multichannel broadcaster UKTV has commissioned a feature-length retrospective to mark the 50^th anniversary of classic BBC comedy series The Good Life, to air on its U&Gold comedy channel.

The Good Life: Inside Out (1×120’) will be produced by Double Yellow Entertainment and fronted by Good Life star Dame Penelope Keith and will air on U&Gold later this year. The special was commissioned by Helen Nightingale, head of factual and factual entertainment, and ordered by Gerald Casey, director of programming, comedy and entertainment, and Hilary Rosen, director of commissioning. The executive producers are Kirsty Hanson, senior commissioning editor for UKTV and Mark Wells for Double Yellow Entertainment.
