ITV Studios-owned Twofour has hired Seb Curtis as director of development from Warner Bros-owned UK production company Twenty Twenty.

Curtis will spearhead development across the Twofour slate of documentaries, factual entertainment and entertainment formats for UK terrestrials and global SVoD services.

Curtis, previously development executive producer at Twenty Twenty, will take up his new role in May, reporting to Twofour chief creative officer David Brindley.

At Twenty Twenty, he originated and developed Save Our Squad, a new six part Disney+ format which sees David Beckham mentoring a failing East London grassroots youth football team.

Prior to that, he was head of development, factual entertainment and events at BBC Studios and developed titles such as An Hour To Save Your Life (BBC2), Celebrity Painting Challenge (BBC1), Class of ‘92 (cinematic release) and The Big Family Cooking Showdown (BBC2/Netflix).

Curtis has also worked in senior development roles at Voltage TV and Boundless TV.

Brindley said: “Seb’s energy, passion and smart thinking when it comes to a whole range of television is really impressive. His love of broad, engaging and warm-hearted formats chimes perfectly with ours. Combine that with a cracking track record both in the UK and globally and I’m super-excited about what we’re going to cook up together.”
