Twofour adds entertainment head

ITV Studios (ITVS)-owned Twofour has appointed Louise Hutchinson to the newly created role of head of entertainment.

Louise Hutchinson

Hutchinson joins Twofour having previously worked on entertainment and reality shows such as The Greatest Dancer, Celebrity Big Brother, The Only Way is Essex, Celebs Go Dating and, most recently, BBC1’s I Can See Your Voice.

She will report to David Brindley, chief creative officer at Twofour, which has previously been behind reality and entertainment shows such as The Jump, This Time Next Year and Ibiza Weekender.

Twofour said that with terrestrial and SVoD players seeking the next global reality hits, Hutchinson would “bring her reputation for delivering global formats to the company and inject new energy into creating bold new shows in this space.”

Brindley said: “Louise’s appointment means we’re now able to add the highest senior firepower to our entertainment output, which will complement our already strong documentary, factual entertainment, formats and specialist factual teams.”

Twofour’s entertainment slate this year has included One World: Together at Home for BBC1, produced in collaboration with Global Citizen and the WHO, and a three-part V Festival special for ITV2.

ITVS said earlier this year that Twofour would be “doubling down” on its activities in Plymouth, where it was founded, following the closure of fellow ITVS-owned prodco Boomerang in Cardiff.
