Two new toons from Gullane and Tell-Tale

Gullane Entertainment and Tweenies producer Tell-Tale Productions have joined forces to develop two new animated children's shows.

The UK-based companies will preview two animated series Ella and Sprogs, at next week's Cartoon Forum in Germany and then at MIPCOM.

Ella (26×12'), is an animated series targeted at 2-5 year-olds, and describes the antics of a girl who uses her vivid imagination to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Sprogs (26×12'), is an animated sitcom starring Lucy and Louis, two twins convinced that their baby brother is an alien. It has been created with kids aged seven and above in mind.

Tell-Tale's managing director Karl Woolley is confident that the partnership between Tell-Tale and will result in {more of their programmes finding broadcasting homes around the world.{

Pre-sales of the cartoons, created by Tell-Tale's Iain Lauchlan and Will Brenton, are currently being discussed, with none yet confirmed.

Tell-Tale's BBC pre-school commission Tweenies has so far found buyers in 40 territories, and has contributed to the independent's annual turnover of £6.5m ($9m). The company has just been greenlit for another 130 episodes of the show.
