TVO, Blue Ant Studios take Canadian version of Nippon TV’s Old Enough! to S2

Old Enough! follows young kids carrying out errands

MIPCOM: Canadian network TVO and Blue Ant Studios have greenlit a second season of Old Enough!, their local version of the popular Japanese format about kids getting their first taste of independence.

The companies have ordered six 30-minute episodes of the series, which will premiere on TVO in 2025.

Based on the Nippon TV format, the project sees kids aged from three to five doing adult errands, including buying groceries.

Blue Ant Studios co-president Matt Hornburg, TVO’s head of programming Natasha Negrea and Nippon TV’s global format licensing exec Akane Alex Inoue announced the renewal in Cannes this morning.

Exec producers on the show include Blue Ant Studios’ Hornburg, Mark Bishop and Donna Luke, while Mitch Burman (Undercover High, Extreme Babysitting) is series producer and showrunner. Blue Ant Studios is handling international distribution of the Canadian version.
