TVNZ moves into Mum and Dad’s

New Zealand’s free-to-air public broadcaster TVNZ has picked up a host of shows, including Mentorn Media’s Hotel of Mum & Dad, from Passion Distribution.

The 6×60′ show, which is among a package of series shopped by Tinopolis-owned UK sales house Passion, was originally produced for the UK’s BBC3 and gives couples living with their parents a chance to move out for a week and test living in their own property.

TVNZ has also acquired two documentaries from fellow Tinopolis company Firecracker Films, namely Diary of a Teenage Virgin (1×60’) and Men in Rubber Masks (1×60’), produced for UK pubcaster Channel 4. The pick-ups follow the unveiling of TVNZ’s 2014 slate last week.

Elsewhere, Kiwi commercial channel TV3, owned by MediaWorks, has licensed all three seasons of Mentorn’s extreme footage clip show World’s Scariest, while Country TV will show Scripps Networks International show Farm Kings (23×60’).
