TVN dramas to land on Walter Presents

Non-English-language drama VoD service Walter Presents has agreed a three-year deal with Polish Discovery-owned broadcaster TVN for its drama programming.

The agreement means Walter Presents viewers in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand will be able to stream three thriller series totalling 28 hours of content.

Launching next year will be The Disappearance, based on a book by Polish novelist Remigiusz Mróz about a missing baby; gangster series The Sins of the Fathers; and Angel of Death, which centres on the ritualistic killing of young religious girls.

Walter Iuzzolino, co-founder and curator of Walter Presents, said: “UK and international audiences have responded enthusiastically to the edgy and elegant tone of Polish storytelling, and I am delighted to be able to introduce them to three stunningly powerful pieces by TVN, one of the most important broadcasters in the country and a real powerhouse of quality and creativity.”

The news comes after Walter Presents grew its reach in North America by launching via PBS Masterpiece on Amazon Prime Video Channels in Canada last week.

Titles available on Walter Presents in Canada include Seaside Hotel, Professor T, Though Shall Not Kill and Before we Die.
