TV2 lines up Norwegian take on Channel 4’s The Great School Swap from Keshet Int’l

Skolebytte (School Switch) is presented by Janne Amble and Kadafi Zaman

TV2 in Norway has commissioned a local version of UK social experiment format The Great School Swap.

A five-part Norwegian series, titled Skolebytte (School Switch), is being worked up by Teddy TV (Kjære Mor, Petter Uteligger). The series brings together 24 ninth graders (aged 14-15) from two culturally different schools located on opposite sides of Oslo to explore social divides and cultural contrasts.

Hosted by Janne Amble and Kadafi Zaman, who also reflect on these issues from their own perspectives and past experiences, the show features candid conversations touching on themes like drugs, the hijab, career choices, homosexuality and social prejudice. Skolebytte premieres on August 28 on TV2 Play and TV2 Direkte.

The show was originally created by Top Hat Productions as a three-part docuseries for Channel 4 in the UK. It is distributed internationally by Keshet International.
