TV Globo gets 3 Minutes of Fame with Talpa Studios musical entertainment format

3 Minutes of Fame first aired in the Netherlands

Brazil’s TV Globo has picked up Dutch prodco Talpa Studios’ musical entertainment format 3 Minutes of Fame for local adaptation.

Scheduled to premiere in April, 3 Minutes of Fame will air as part of TV Globo show Domingão com Huck on Sunday nights.

The format gives singers with hidden talents the chance to perform on a big stage in front of a live audience. The performers are nominated to appear on the show by their friends and family through secretly recorded videos and, when chosen to appear on the show, are coached for their live performance by a famous singer.

3 Minutes of Fame was developed by Talpa Studios and Spektr, with the original Dutch version wrapping its first season in December. The Brazilian version is the first international adaptation of the format.
