Turkish series Legacy, Redemption sell into MENA, CEE, Lat Am after Eccho deals

Legacy is set to start its fourth season in Turkey later this month

Turkish daily drama series Legacy (S1-3, 861×45’) and Redemption (S1&2, 480×45’) have been acquired by more international broadcasters after deals secured by Scandinavian distributor Eccho Rights.

Legacy, a long-running series that is set to start its fourth season in Turkey later this month, adding another 254 episodes, has been picked up to air in Iraq by Kurdmax, Hungary (RTL Club) and Colombia (Caracol). Night Train Media-owned Eccho said the deals take the total sales for Legacy to more than 55 countries.

Redemption, meanwhile, has recently started its second season in Turkey, and has been licensed into Bosnia Herzegovina (Hayat TV) and North Macedonia (Kanal 5).

Both series are produced by Istanbul prodco Karamel Yapim for Kanal 7.

“Daily drama series in Turkey have been pushing higher-budget titles in the ratings for a number of years, and this is reflected in the international market where demand for reliable, long-running series continues to grow. Legacy, which is nearing 1000 episodes since 2020, and now Redemption, are high-quality, high-volume series that win viewers day after day,” said Handan Özkubat, director of Turkish drama, Eccho Rights.
