Turkish drama The Nightfall descends on Mexican broadcaster Imagen TV

The Nightfall (Bir Gece Masalı) stars Burak Deniz and Su Burcu Yazgı Coskun

Mexican broadcaster Imagen TV has acquired the local rights to Turkish drama The Nightfall (Bir Gece Masalı).

Istanbul-based ATV Distribution, which handles international sales, said the agreement was finalised following discussions at C21’s Content Americas last month. The series has previously been picked up in Chile and Panama.

Starring Burak Deniz and Su Burcu Yazgı Coskun, The Nightfall follows a nomadic girl and a police commissioner whose impossible love story starts in Pamukkale and extends to Istanbul.

Muge Akar, ATV’s group head of sales and distribution, said: “We continue to strengthen our relationship with Imagen. Recently, Wounded Heart debuted as the most-watched content on Imagen TV and became the best premiere of a Turkish drama in the channel’s history. We are confident The Nightfall will achieve a similar level of success and connect strongly with Mexican viewers.”

In related news, ATV Distribution has sold Turkish romantic drama For My Family (Kardeşlerim) to Canal 11 in Puerto Rico and TV Acción in Paraguay.
