This week on C21FM, we heard from New Metric Media CEO and founder Mark Montefiore and chief operating officer Jeff Hersh about how the company behind Letterkenny is scaling up, expanding existing comedy franchises and building new ones, and looking at M&A opportunities.

We also hear from Banijay Iberia CEO Pilar Blasco, global head of content development James Townley and EMEA head of scripted Lars Blomgren from last week’s Conecta Fiction and Entertainment coproduction event in Spain, where topics under discussion included including new rules impacting local producers and the content pipeline between Spain and Latin America.

Meanwhile, DLO Producciones chairman and founder José Manuel Lorenzo was also at Conecta and voiced his concerns about the new legislation.

Finally, from Natpe Budapest, we heard from United Media director of original content sales and coproduction Tatjana Pavlović about the South-east European producer’s new drama centred on the Pink Panthers jewel thieves and how the region has adapted to the pandemic and the situation in Ukraine.
