We also heard from Johnny Kalangis, VP of digital at Toronto’s Cream Productions, about the making of virtual reality sci-fi drama Dark Threads, featuring Lord of the Rings star Dominic Monaghan.

The C21FM Weekly Review Show also includes a chat with Silverprint Pictures creative director Kate Bartlett and director Lee Haven Jones about new ITV crime drama The Long Call. Rounding out the week’s C21FM highlights is an interview with writer Ben Richards and director Zara Hayes about new BBC courtroom drama Showtrial from ITV Studios-owned World Production, the prodco behind Bodyguard and Line of Duty.

Showtrial is a new BBC drama from the makers of Bodyguard. Written and created by The Tunnel, Strike and Cobra scribe Ben Richards, the series centres on a courtroom battle that grips the nation, placing victim and accused – as well as their families – at the heart of a media storm.
