This week on C21FM, we heard from Michael Azzolino, VP of content at Netflix in Central and Eastern Europe, and Łukasz Kłuskiewicz, director of films and content acquisition in the region, speaking at Content Warsaw about their priorities and approach to working with producers.

We also heard from Katarzyna Drogowska, head of AVoD streaming and Player editorial director at Warner Bros Discovery Poland, about the launch of Max in the territory as part of the streamer’s European roll-out.

Meanwhile, Kai Finke, chief content officer at SkyShowtime, discussed the pan-European streamer’s slate for 2024 and beyond, and its strategy for local originals and acquisitions.

Finally, Małgorzata Perkowska-Czaja, MD of Endemol Shine Poland, and Steve Matthews, content executive at parent company Banijay, talked about how the market is defying a downturn in commissioning being seen elsewhere.
