Simon Mayo is one of the UK’s best-known radio broadcasters and a familiar voice to many from his movie review show with film critic Mark Kermode.

He has also written several books, including the Itch series of children’s novels, which have been turned into an adventure drama by Komixx Entertainment for ABC in Australia and recently debuted on CBBC in the UK.

Mayo speaks with Nico Franks about his creative process during the pandemic and the ramifications of the blurring line between film and TV.

Originally a lawyer, Vanessa Coffey retrained to become a buffer between actors and directors specifically for intimate scenes.

She recently worked on Sky’s I Hate Suzie, the upcoming series Fate: The Winx Saga for Netflix and War of the Worlds season two for the BBC.

Coffey tells Nico Franks how intimate scenes are being filmed during the pandemic as well as how the role of an intimacy coordinator on set has become a necessity since the rise of the MeToo movement.
