C21’s Content Australia On Demand got underway recently with a series of panel discussions and one-on-one interviews exploring how the nation’s television business is evolving in a period of unprecedented change.

ABC Commercial format sales chief Katherine McMillan spoke to Nico Franks about two titles the Australian public service broadcaster has recently exported elsewhere: environmentally themed entertainment show The Great Bee Challenge and prejudice-busting format You Can’t Ask That.

David Williams, MD of UK producer Interstellar TV, which is making a kids’ version of the first of these for the BBC, and Tali Katz, executive producer and content manager at Israeli pubcaster KAN, which has successfully adapted the second, joined in with the conversation.

Video versions of all Content Australia On Demand sessions are available on C21Media.net if you’re a Pro subscriber and there’ll be more from the event on C21FM tomorrow.

C21FM is live 24/7, with a block of interviews starting at 10am BST every day at c21fmradio.com.
