Carlyn Staudt is global general manager of Blue Ant Media-owned Love Nature, a Canadian natural history channel that has branched out around the world via a variety of platforms and partnerships.

She spoke to Clive Whittingham about her growing interest in AVoD, her commissioning strategy for 2021, intensifying competition among factual-focused streamers and the channel’s new management structure following a series of recent promotions.

Jin Woo Hwang launched what is billed as South Korea’s first TV format agency focused on creative talent, content development, production and distribution for the global market in late 2019.

In less than two years, Seoul-based Something Special has signed deals with the UK’s ITV Studios and ViacomCBS Networks International. Hwang spoke to Ruth Lawes about the business, what it has to offer the international formats industry and why, beyond the success of The Masked Singer, the South Korean market still has plenty of untapped potential.
