Approaching its second anniversary, fledgling global studio Nucleus Media Rights appointed Reinvent Studios exec Isabelle Pechou recently to head up its drama slate as it expands further into the genre and builds on progress it has made in both scripted and kids and family entertainment.

CEO Bruno Zarka, senior VP of distribution, acquisition and coproduction Alan Rudoff and Pechou spoke to Michael Pickard about how the the London-based company has grown over the past two years and its ambitions of being home to new talent and IP as it builds into a multi-layered international player.

In 2017, Keshet International bought German factual and formats producer Tresor and, a year later, former Bavaria Fiction exec Christina Christ came on board to launch scripted label Keshet Tresor Fiction.

With its first commission – a remake of an Israeli dark comedy – launching on TV Now before Christmas and on Vox recently, Christ spoke to Michael Pickard about the company’s ambitions and strategy in the booming German drama market, how it’s dealt with the challenges of the pandemic and discusses the making of debut series You Don’t Die Among Friends.
