With the virtual version of the 2021 London Screenings underway, C21 has put together a series of panel discussions and one-on-one interviews to coincide with the event, exploring the key trends and issues front of mind for buyers and sellers right now, the place of UK programming on the global stage and some of the shows to watch out for.

John McVay, CEO of UK independent producers’ trade body Pact, spoke with Karolina Kaminska about how the UK’s content continues to make waves around the world despite the impact of Covid-19 and Brexit, and why the shifting dynamics of US streaming opens new opportunities but presents challenges for Britbox.

With the company showcasing these and other titles as part of its own ‘content fest,’ coinciding with this year’s virtual London Screenings, Bonney spoke to Ed Waller about how the distribution landscape is changing and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in 2021.
