TruTV looks to Kutcher for exposure

Ashton Kutcher’s shingle Katalyst Films is producing a new “top-secret” comedy for TruTV, to lead the male-skewed US network’s schedule.

Katalyst (Punk’d, Beauty and the Geek) has signed up to produce Exposed! (working title). TruTV is billing the show as a “top-secret comedy that takes it all off in front of unsuspecting people, in the name of a unique social experiment.”

Yesterday, at TruTV’s first ever Upfront presentation, it revealed that Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura was coming back for a second season, along with Full Throttle Saloon and Las Vegas Jailhouse.

TruTV’s new slate includes Reveille’s reality workplace format The Naked Office. C21 reported earlier this week that a full season of the Shine-owned format was going into production in the UK for diginet Virgin 1.

Other programmes include Ma’s Roadhouse (WT), a reality series about a motorcycle repair shop cum saloon bar in Texas from AMS Pictures (Girl Meets Gown); and America’s Toughest Boss (WT), from RelativityReal, which follows the mercilessly strict owner of a US steakhouse who spies on his staff and puts them through numerous personality tests.

Rogue Society (WT, Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment), is a hidden camera series; Disclosure (FishBowl Worldwide Media), a show about government secrets; Vegas Repo (Arietis/Intrigue), a car repossession reality series; and Limo Bob (Brainbox Entertainment) is about a larger-than-life luxury car firm owner.
