Truly Original expands west coast development team under Chachi Senior

New York-based factual producer Truly Original has expanded the development team in its west coast office under development head Chachi Senior.

The Banijay-backed company has appointed Christy Coffey as VP of development and talent, overseeing casting and talent relations. She was previously casting director at Big Fish Entertainment.

Coffey will work with Senior and with development VP Erin Mechanic, who has been with the company since March 2020.

Truly Original is currently in the process of expanding both its production and development teams. The company earlier this year forged a partnership with LA-based production company Atomic Monster led by horror filmmaker James Wan.

Truly Original’s development team in New York also includes Stephanya Bareham and Lucas Howe, both VPs of development, and senior director of development Cat Cambra.

The company produces series including Ink Master, Swamp People, Summer House and Shahs of Sunset, in addition the Atlanta, Potomac and Dubai iterations of The Real Housewives franchise. The company is led by co-CEOs Glenda Hersh and Steven Weinstock, both based in New York.
