US digital channel True Crime Network (formerly Justice Network) has pre-bought two series from UK prodco FirstLookTV.

Made for Murder season two (10×60’) sees US and UK forensic experts retrace the life events that led to people becoming murderers. The series has also been bought by UK and Ireland pay TV channel Sky Crime and streamer Now TV.

True Crime Network has also picked up season three of A Killer’s Mistake (10×60’), where experts look at the costly errors that have led to serial killers being caught, using interviews and reconstructions.

The sales were facilitated by UK distributor and funding company Drive. Ben Barrett, joint MD at Drive said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the financing of these returning series as well as distributing them globally. The interest in the true crime genre continues to grow and it’s good to be able to offer buyers content from one of the UK’s leading producers of true crime”.

Will Hanrahan, CEO of FirstLookTV said: “These series are further evidence of how FirstLookTV can get content to viewers through collaboration with channels, distributors and fantastic industry colleagues. The series help cement us as one of the key suppliers of True Crime to UK and US broadcasters.”
