True crime series Missing, Presumed Dead snapped up by A+E Networks EMEA

A+E Networks EMEA, Spirit Studios and Quintus Studio present Missing, Presumed Dead

A+E Networks EMEA, UK indie Spirit Studios and German distributor Quintus Studio are teaming up to coproduce true crime series Missing, Presumed Dead.

A+E Networks EMEA will broadcast the series on its Crime+Investigation channel in the UK, Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe, Greece and the Middle East, plus on Sky Crime in Italy.

The 10×60’ series is produced by Spirit (The Stand-Up Sketch Show) and will be distributed internationally by Quintus.

Missing, Presumed Dead reveals how missing persons were found and why they returned to their families, told from the perspective of the abductee.

Executive producers are Dan Korn and Di Carter for A&E EMEA, Adam Jacobs for Quintus Studios, and Matt Campion and Martin Sadowski for Spirit Studios.

Dan Korn said: “Missing, Presumed Dead focuses on cases which might not be so well known but which are every bit as harrowing and does so from the unique perspective of the abductee, their agonised families and the investigators.”

Matt Campion said: “It’s about time we had a true crime show with a happy ending. This is a series about the harrowing journeys of those who defied the odds and survived to tell the tale, and those who did everything they could to find them.”
