TRT’s streamer Tabii heads to Mipcom to grow international partnerships

Drama series Resurrection Ertuğrul

Tabii, the international streaming service from Turkish state broadcaster TRT, is heading to Mipcom in Cannes next month looking to forge international partnerships.

Making its debut appearance at the market after launching in May, Tabii is currently accessible outside of Turkey via third-party platforms such as YouTube and Roku for a subscription fee.

As well as programming from TRT such as Resurrection Ertuğrul, Hold My Hand and Melek: A Mother’s Struggle, the streamer is also building up a slate of original productions, with 30 planned in its first year.

These include historical dramas, action series, thrillers and comedies with series such as Rumi, Free Sky, Little Archer: Iskender, Say No More, The Last Day and Altay.

Tabii said its series “embrace cultural diversity, resonate with families and appeal to common values in various languages for viewers all around the world.”

Its content is available in Turkish, English, Spanish, Arabic and Urdu with more language options coming soon, TRT said.
