Tomorrow Studios sets first-look deal with Physical producer Craig Gillespie

ITV Studios-backed Tomorrow Studios has signed a first-look deal with Craig Gillespie, the Australian-American producer and director behind shows including Apple TV+ comedy-drama Physical.

The deal marks an expansion of Gillespie’s relationship with Tomorrow Studios – led by CEO Marty Adelstein and partner/president Becky Clements – which is also a producer on Physical.

Tomorrow Studios’ also has first-look deals with Julia Garner and Rowan Riley’s Alma Margo, and Frank Spotnitz’s Big Light Productions, and is working with French director and screenwriter Eric Rochant on his first US project.

Adelstein and Clements said the deal with Gillespie was one of “several” announcements related to the expansion of its development slate.

“As we continue studio growth, having likeminded partners becomes of even greater importance, and we share with Craig a great passion for producing compelling scripted television projects.”
