Alma Margo, the production company led by Ozark and Inventing Anna star Julia Garner and her producing partner Rowan Riley, has agreed a first-look deal with Tomorrow Studios.

US-based Tomorrow Studios, a partnership between ITV Studios and producer Marty Adelstein, has produced series including Snowpiercer (TNT/Netflix), Physical (Apple TV+) and 10 Year Old Tom (HBO Max).

Garner won two Emmys for her role in Netflix’s Ozark and more recently played the lead in the streamer’s Inventing Anna. Garner and Riley formed Alma Margo last year with the goal of supporting international voices and emerging talent.

“As we continue to grow Tomorrow Studios, we’re thrilled to partner with Julia, Rowan and their team at Alma Margo to create compelling scripted series with a global reach,” said Tomorrow Studios CEO and founder Adelstein and president and partner Becky Clements in a statement.

“We share their enthusiasm for meaningful programming and love their focus on elevating emerging talent,” they added.

Most recently it was announced that Garner will also star in Paramount Players’ psychological thriller feature Apartment 7A, directed and co-written by Natalie Erika James.

Since its launch in 2014, Tomorrow Studios has set up other partnerships including a joint venture with animation veteran Nick Weidenfeld to form Work Friends.
