TMG takes off with Iron Man

Tele München Group (TMG) has struck a deal with Marvel Studios for TV and new media distribution rights to the third installment of superhero movie franchise Iron Man.

Munich-based TMG has acquired rights to Iron Man 3, which is due in US cinemas in May 2013, for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Alto Adige. The company also has theatrical rights for Germany and Austria. TMG previously distributed Iron Man in 2008 and Iron Man 2 in 2010.

The film is a coproduction between Marvel Studios, Walt Disney Company China and DMG Entertainment, and is currently in pre-production. Shooting will begin next month.
