TMG scores drama sales

Broadcasters in Italy, Poland and the Czech Republic have picked up dramas from Germany’s Tele München Group (TMG) as the producer-distributor begins shooting a new two-part miniseries.

AXN Italy, TVN Poland, European broadcast group SBS, and an undisclosed network in Croatia have secured rights to Flashpoint (75×50′), about a team of elite police officers. It is produced by Avamar Entertainment and Pink Sky Entertainment in association with Canadian broadcaster CTV and US cablenet Ion.

In other sales news, TMG has sold romantic drama Rosamunde Pilcher’s Shades of Love (2×90′), about a wealthy family with a dark secret, to channels in the Czech Republic and Croatia. It is produced by TMG with Germany’s Gagern Television & Film Produktion.

Meanwhile, TMG has begun filming romantic drama The Other Wife. The two-part miniseries is produced in association with Gagern Television & Film for ZDF (Germany), ORF (Austria), Sonar Entertainment (USA) and Power Corp (UK).

The Other Wife is about a woman who, following the death of her husband, begins to question her past and what her future may hold. Shooting will take place in the Cotswolds and Cornwall in the UK until June. Worldwide sales of the miniseries will be handled by TMG’s subsidiary TM International.
