TMG launches new reality prodco

In the US, Paolo Sadri of TMG Films and actor Mario Lopez have banded together to form TMG Television, an indie production house aiming to make English and Spanish-language reality programming.

Based in Miami, TMG Television is a subsidiary of Sadri’s film company and has already got two projects on its slate. The start-up is in pre-production on a reality show about the Miami club circuit in South Beach – Night Life, and an interactive dating show called Heavenly Match.

Meanwhile, three other projects are currently in development. Lopez is down to host a talkshow in English and Spanish titled Just Talk, while Model’s Life will give a reality spin to the modelling industry and Defense will offer a look at lawyers fighting high-profile cases.

Lopez is known for his appearances in Saved by the Bell, Colors, The Other Half, America’s Most Talented Kid and The Greg Louganis Story. As for Sadri, he has built a career in the film industry and is currently down to coproduce Spike Lee’s new movie Goal and exec produce upcoming feature King of Clubs. Sadri has worked with Lee on other projects such as Do the Right Thing, He Got Game and Malcolm X.
