Tiny Pop to leave linear TV and become fully digital-only channel

UK preschool channel Tiny Pop, owned by Narrative Entertainment, will go fully digital from March 20.

The move comes after Tiny Pop launched on free, ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) platforms last September.

The channel houses preschool shows including Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck, Hello Kitty: Super Style! and Masha & the Bear, and is available on FAST platforms Samsung TV Plus, LG and Netgem.

Tiny Pop will also continue to be available for free via the Pop Player app, as well as on YouTube, as Narrative Entertainment shifts its strategy to focus on expanding its digital offering.

The preschool channel has been available in UK satellite homes for 20 years and launched on UK DTT platform Freeview in 2015.

Francesca Newington, director of Pop channels, said: “Tiny Pop’s transition to fully digital kickstarts our 2024 strategy to focus specifically on the needs of our young audiences. With the rise in children aged 3–4 consuming content online, our expansion onto platforms such as FAST has provided us with new opportunities to evolve and adapt to provide viewers with free access to exciting content wherever and whenever they choose to watch.”
