This Country’s Daisy May and Charlie Cooper go on NightWatch for BBC

Daisy May and Charlie Cooper’s NightWatch

UK pubcaster the BBC has commissioned a paranormal series fronted by sibling actors Daisy May Cooper and Charlie Cooper for BBC Two and iPlayer.

In Daisy May and Charlie Cooper’s NightWatch (6×30’), the stars of This Country are locked together overnight in some of the spookiest and reputedly most haunted places in the country. It is produced by their prodco So Humble and exec produced by Lisa Clark. Rob Gill directs.

In other unscripted news, BBC Scotland has commissioned a fourth season of reality show The Agency: Unfiltered, for launch in 2026. Produced by Banijay UK’s IWC Media, the series lifts the lid on life inside Scotland’s largest influencer agency, Aquarius Creative.

These commissions follow a co-commission from BBC Daytime and BBC Cymru Wales for an upcycling competition series hosted by Gavin & Stacey actor Joanna Page. Produced by One Tribe, Shift the Thrift (12×30’) sees two people go head-to-head in a race against the clock to purchase charity shop items, transform them and sell them in live-streamed auctions for as much profit as possible. The profits will go back to the charity shops.

The series starts filming across the UK this month and will air on BBC One, while streaming on iPlayer. Sphere Abacus is handling international distribution.
