Thief Collector picked up for US distribution by FilmRise

NEWS BRIEF: New York-based Distributor and digital channels operator FilmRise has acquired the US rights to true crime documentary The Thief Collector.

Produced by LA factual specialists Museum & Crane, with Roots Productions and XTR, it tells the story of when Willem de Kooning’s US$160m painting Woman-Ochre was stolen in an elaborate heist in 1985.
